Key Responsibilities:

• Access Control: Monitor and control all site access points during non-operational hours. Log all entries and exits, check identification, and prevent unauthorised access.
• Perimeter & Patrol Duties: Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of the premises, ensuring all areas are secure and free from hazards or breaches.
• Alarm Response: Respond promptly to any triggered alarms or emergency alerts. Investigate incidents, record findings, and escalate where necessary.
• Incident Reporting: Record any unusual activity, breaches, or suspicious behaviour. Complete clear and accurate logs and reports.
• Monitoring Systems: Use CCTV and other surveillance tools to monitor site activity during off-hours.
• Emergency Management: Take appropriate action in the event of fire, intruders, or health & safety incidents. Coordinate with emergency services when required.
• Customer-Facing Duties: Assist late staff, contractors, or emergency visitors with site access in a professional and courteous manner.
• Lone Working Protocols: Adhere to lone worker safety procedures and maintain radio/contact check-ins where applicable.

Essential Requirements:

• SIA Door Supervisor Licence (mandatory)
• Right to Work in the UK
• 5-Year Screenable Work/Education History (in line with BS7858 vetting)
• Previous experience in a security role, especially in night or lone working settings
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays reliably
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and high situational awareness
• A calm and composed approach to high-pressure or emergency situations
• Professional appearance and high standards of personal conduct

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

• First Aid Certificate (valid and in-date)
• Fire Warden or Health & Safety Certification
• Experience using CCTV or electronic security systems
• Conflict Management or De-escalation Training
• Knowledge of construction site protocols or high-risk environments
• Full UK Driving Licence (particularly for mobile site assignments)
