Modern Slavery Statement
For the financial year ending · to be approved by the board
This statement is made in line with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps Ascent Onsite Group takes to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain.
1. OUR POSITION
We have zero tolerance for modern slavery. As an employer of site-based staff across five divisions, we take seriously our duty to recruit fairly, pay properly and protect the people who work for us and with us.
2. OUR BUSINESS AND SUPPLY CHAIN
AOG provides security, FM and cleaning, construction support, vacant property services and fire protection across the UK. Our supply chain includes labour, equipment, uniforms and subcontracted specialists. [PLACEHOLDER: describe the actual supply chain.]
3. POLICIES
- Right-to-work checks on every member of staff before their first shift.
- Fair pay, with the Real Living Wage as a floor and no unlawful deductions.
- A whistleblowing route so concerns can be raised safely.
4. DUE DILIGENCE
We assess labour providers and subcontractors for compliance, and we hold accreditations such as SafeContractor and CHAS that include checks on responsible employment.
5. TRAINING
Managers responsible for recruitment and site mobilisation receive guidance on spotting and reporting the signs of exploitation.
6. APPROVAL
