Carbon Reduction Plan

This Carbon Reduction Plan sets out how Ascent Onsite Group Ltd is reducing its greenhouse gas emissions, following the format of Procurement Policy Note 006 for bidding on major government contracts. It is reviewed and republished at least every 12 months.
1. COMMITMENT TO NET ZERO
AOG is committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions across our operations by 2040. This brings our own target ahead of the UK's 2050 statutory commitment, in line with the operational scale and sites we run.
2. BASELINE EMISSIONS FOOTPRINT
Baseline emissions are the reference point against which reductions are measured. They reflect the first year for which we hold verified data.
Baseline year: FY21/22
- Scope 1 (fuel combustion, fleet): 104.61 tCO2e
- Scope 2 (purchased electricity): 3.19 tCO2e
- Scope 3 (included sources: waste, water and expensed fuel): 42.27 tCO2e
- Total: 150.07 tCO2e
3. CURRENT EMISSIONS REPORTING
Reporting year: FY24/25
- Scope 1: 66.28 tCO2e
- Scope 2: 1.81 tCO2e
- Scope 3 (included sources: waste, water and expensed fuel, business travel by rail, air and hotel, upstream and downstream transportation, employee commuting, and EV-charging emissions): 23.63 tCO2e
- Total: 91.72 tCO2e
Emissions are calculated using the UK Government greenhouse gas conversion factors for the relevant reporting year and the operational control approach.
4. REDUCTION TARGETS
Total emissions have fallen from 150.07 tCO2e in FY21/22 to 91.72 tCO2e in FY24/25, a reduction of 39% against baseline. On current trajectory, FY25/26 is projected at 77.85 tCO2e, a reduction of 48% against baseline.

Longer-term targets beyond FY25/26 will be confirmed as this plan is reviewed.
5. CARBON REDUCTION PROJECTS
The following measures have been completed or are in progress and will contribute to our trajectory:
- Transitioning the fleet to electric and hybrid vehicles as leases renew.
- Switching purchased electricity to a certified renewable tariff.
- Route and patrol planning to cut mobile mileage.
- Low-impact cleaning chemicals and concentrated dosing to reduce transport and waste.
- Supplier engagement on Scope 3 reporting.
In future we plan to implement further measures, to be confirmed as the plan is reviewed.
6. DECLARATION AND SIGN-OFF
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans. It has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors.
