Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Cherry Picker Operator (Mobile Elevated Work Platform – MEWP) to support access and lifting requirements on active construction sites. You will be responsible for operating cherry pickers and boom lifts safely and efficiently, ensuring work at height is carried out without incident.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cherry pickers and articulated boom lifts safely and professionally
  • Conduct pre-operation checks and report any faults or safety issues
  • Work closely with site managers and supervisors to plan safe access routes
  • Assist other trades with installation, repairs, or inspections at height
  • Ensure that safety barriers and exclusion zones are in place when operating
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of equipment use and safety checks
  • Follow all health, safety, and site compliance protocols

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid IPAF License (3a & 3b categories required)
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Full PPE and ability to travel to site
  • Previous experience operating cherry pickers/MEWPs on a construction site
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional on-site presence

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • PASMA certification (preferred)
  • First Aid certificate
  • Working at Height awareness
  • Experience supporting electricians, cladders, or signage contractors
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and minor fault diagnostics
  • Manual Handling & Site Safety certifications
