DBS-cleared site teams, periodic deep clean programme, year-round Ofsted-readiness across 14 schools and 11,800 pupils.
The challenge
A multi-academy trust operating 14 schools across the East Midlands required a single integrated cleaning contract to replace seven separate arrangements that had accumulated through school conversions and amalgamations over six years. The trust's requirements included DBS-enhanced clearance for all site operatives, Ofsted-readiness as a baseline standard, and a contracted audit regime with written reports.
Our approach
AOG FM and Cleaning deployed 62 site cleaning staff across the 14 sites. All operatives held Enhanced DBS clearance completed within 90 days of deployment. Each site was assigned a named site supervisor who attended the monthly estate manager review alongside the AOG account manager.
The contracted audit programme used a site-specific checklist derived from the trust's own facilities inspection criteria. Each site was audited every six weeks, with results benchmarked across the estate.
The result
The estate has sustained a 98.4% audit pass rate across all 14 schools and 11,800 pupils, with Ofsted-readiness maintained year-round rather than built up before an inspection window. The trust consolidated all seven legacy contracts into the single AOG agreement.
