Skilled Labourer / Site Handyperson

The role

You will support the site team with practical jobs, working days from 8am to 5pm, that keep the project running smoothly. This suits someone with hands-on construction experience who is comfortable carrying out minor repairs, using tools and moving between different tasks throughout the day.

You should notice work that needs attention, check priorities with the site supervisor and complete agreed tasks properly.

What you will do

• Carry out minor repairs, making good and protection works within your competence and authorisation.
• Support trades with preparation, materials and work-area organisation.
• Help maintain temporary site facilities.
• Keep working areas safe and orderly.
• Spot issues, report defects and check priorities with the supervisor.
• Complete agreed tasks carefully and move on to the next priority.
• Provide updates on completed work and outstanding issues.

What you need

• Skilled labouring, site maintenance or similar practical experience.
• Confidence using appropriate hand and power tools safely.
• A valid CSCS card appropriate to the assignment.
• Reliability and the ability to follow clear instructions.
• Examples of practical tasks completed yourself.
• The right to work in the UK.

Specialist work outside the person’s competence is excluded.
